Notification by Customs of an inspection means that the goods cannot leave the terminal. After the inspection, the goods can return to a status in which they go through the normal process, or they can be placed under “irregularity under investigation”. In the latter, a customs officer decides which measures are necessary.
Only AEO certified parties can be informed of the audit digitally when submitting the TS info AEO.
Any irregularity must first be resolved before goods can be released and temporary storage can be terminated.

WHEN:
Every notification or adjustment of a TS, and an activation via PN, can trigger the notification of a control by customs.
HOW:
A notice of control will be communicated by RX to each stakeholder. This can be followed up via dashboard in the portal, or via EDI notification.
Further analysis of customs reporting may include the planned date of the control and detailed information about the goods under control.
