Import

STEP 6

Cargo release

WHAT:

  • Inform the parties involved that a follow-up declaration or transit has been drawn up and that the goods may leave the quay.
  • The data from the TSD and the follow-up declaration are used for this.

BY WHOM:

  • Customs Representative
  • Importer

FOR WHOM:

  • Terminal Operator
  • Haulier

WHY:

  • Goods can be transported to the customer

WHEN:

  • After validation of the declaration or after inspection.

HOW:

  • You can view the status of your goods at any time via the RX Dashboard.

RX/Seaport is currently working with customs to notify the relevant parties of the customs release of the goods.

Until then, the importer or his customs representative must inform the terminal operator that a follow-up declaration or transit has been drawn up and that the goods may leave the quay.

Before departure, the carrier can check in the RX dashboard whether the cargo has received all the green lights before leaving the terminal (unloading OK, sending in cargo data (TS) OK, sending in arrival (PN OK, customs release OK, etc.).

Pre-registration of customs data via the RX/SeaPort portal

Pre-registration of customs data via the RX/SeaPort portal: via the RX/SeaPort portal the user (freight forwarder, importer, ...) notifies the terminal operator of the customs status of the cargo with the accompanying customs document numbers (MRNs). The necessary data can be entered manually or via 'multi-insert' via the web application or automatically via a connection with most customs software applications. The terminal operator can request this data permanently and is thus informed that a customs document is available for your goods. On the basis of this information, the cargo can be released for transport.
